Making logos can be quite tricky but I'm gonna try and help you with this guide. OK lets get started. First you NEED a program called WALLY (you can find where to download it from my links page), this will enable you to create the logo. You will also need a half decent graphix program I suggest paint shop pro! (that too is on the link page :-)

The easiest way to make a logo is to have the whole area of the spray covered (so you have no transparent parts). The image must be dimensioned in multiples of 16 pixels and can contain a maximum of 10752 pixels in total, meaning the largest sized image you can make is 96x112, 112x96 or 96x96. If you are cropping a picture make sure that it is a multiple 16. If you wanted you could make an extremely thin but very long logo as long as you don't exceed 10752 pixels in total.

Once you are happy with your logo first decrease the colour depth to 256 (if you don't know how to do this then refer to the program's help files). When the colours have been decreased, the palette used must contain the full-blue (0 0 255) colour within it, even if it is not used. There must be just one full blue entry in the palette and this must be in the last position of the palette (position 255, again if you don't know how to do this then refer to the programs help files).

Now we have to save it go to file, save as, then save it as a .bmp file and name it. Now we move into wally!

Start Wally and select File, New. In the box that appears change the type to Half-Life Package [wad3].Click OK.
Go to File, Open, and select the .bmp image you made in PSP (paint shop pro) and open it.
Now it's in wally right click on it and go to copy, then select the other window and go to Edit, Paste, Paste Into Package File. In the box that appears enter the name as LOGO and click OK. Your Logo should now be visible in the wad package.
With the WAD window still selected go back to the top menu bar and select File, save as, save it then somewhere as pldecal.wad.
